The dress code at my school is completely unfair to women. The whole dress code is sexualizing women. It makes me feel that if I’m not completely covered men will just see me as a sexual being and not a human being. That instead of teaching that women are humans and should be respected for their brains it instead teaches that women are nothing but something to look at and in fact demoralize women. It makes me as a female feel like if I show some skin I am less then a male. 

I think that if we had a more relaxed dress code that offers more freedom and creative that would help society as a whole. With saying that I mean that if dress code was more relaxed then women would grow up in an environment where they don’t have to be sexualized. They would feel more confident and have more self esteem when they get older. It would also teach males that it’s not okay to sexualize women in what they wear giving us a better society. Women would feel more safe because guys would grow up knowing that women are to be respected not used and demoralized for the way they dress. Fix the problem not the symptoms.
