I have had the pleasure of meeting Dimas's Mother and other family members (Sadly haven't had the chance to meet Dimas yet but hope to one day in the future) i can not believe that the government could even consider deporting this wonderful family, they bring so much value to our community here in Canberra, the main reason being that they actually want to be here and love our country as their home!! they work hard and pay their taxes, they work hard so that they can pay their own way and support their family and provide the support their son needs to be a happy and health young man that can go on to do many great things for his county (Australia) this family doesn't rely on government money to raise their son so how can they claim he would be a burden to our country? (Not that i consider someone on the spectrum to be a burden, people with ASD are not a burden!!! they can work and even run their own businesses) Please do the right thing and allow them to remain in the country that they have spent the last 10 years making their home

I'm signing because i believe that this family are active contributors to there local community and have been working and paying tax for 10yrs. That is alot more than many other Australian families who are often third or even forth generation welfare recipients.
This family have proven that with family support, there some with Autism can learn and grow to be a happy and productive Australian.

What our government is trying to do to these contributing families on the basis on a person's health is inhumane... They would have had health clearances prior to being accepted in to the country, what has been diagnosed since living here should not be held against them... Autism and it's treatment cost no where near the amount of money that our own people sitting back ripping centrelink off or doing thier drugs with no intention to work cost our government... Discrimation is what this is... These are the kind of families we need in Australia, contributing and hard working, so what if they have a child on the spectrum, there is no justification on this earth for holding a condition like autism over a person head.... The government can not just use this as a valid excuse.. I'm ashamed to have an Australian government like what we have now...
