I am an Early Years TA, it’s a demanding job but I love it. The pay doesn’t match the responsibility and the skill that’s required to carry out this important role, especially if you are qualified and have experience.TA/HLTA’s feel under valued for what we do. Financially it can be a struggle, most of my wages goes on bills and food. There just isn’t enough left for anything else.

I am a very dedicated TA, It is a demanding job, but I love it. Unfortunately, financially it can be a struggle, almost all my wages goes on paying bills. Would be lovely to enjoy life a bit.

I am completely against any pay reduction of teachers or the teaching assistants (TA's) as this will impact on those who teach and the quality of the teachers and their assistants, ultimately it will impact on the students whether young or old, you/we need the best teachers and TA's to bring out the best in all students and not just the rich privately educated, but those of all walks of life including vulnerable too

The Tory government is cutting pay & jobs for everyone but themselves.

How about creating a massively publicised parliamentary petition of 'No confidence in Theresa May' ASAP

Its a bloody disgrace they are being paid a low income as it is! In an environment where so many teachers are leaving the profession you need these people more than ever! Pay them there worth having seem how much councils are paying management consultants out of taxpayers money im absolutely appalled you would treat your staff in such a way!!!

As a School Governor with over20 years of service in Durham's schools, I know how invaluable their work is, am horrified by their treatment by their employer, the hardship the proposed cuts will cause and the impact it will have on staff retention and as a consequence, pupil achievement and school outcomes.
