I'm against assisted suicide because of the bad consequences it would have for Britain. The NHS would become a killing factory for the elderly and vulnerable. Studies should be made to prove that taking your life or another's is not dignified indeed, people have not died in taking their lethal dose and need to go through it again.
Countries that have allowed the bill to go through do not have an NHS and it would have dire consequences for the NHS. Most NHS doctors are opposed to this and why give them more heartache!
Instead, we should be spending more time and money on helping the poor and disabled. Put more money into homeopathy and herbalism. Put money into researching why young men commit suicide. There's so much more one could say!

Assisted suicide does not preserve dignity. People do not die with more dignity than they live. We should work to protect life.

I'm signing because Assisted Dying is basically a selfish act, which has consequences for all those who are left behind in terms of guilt and shame and regret. Yes, watching someone suffer agonies is horrible, especially when you want to help them, but there is palliative care which can alleviate the pain. I am not minimizing the dilemma faced by patients and their carers, but if this step were taken, it would lead to an injustice.
