This has been completely overturned, sex ed is no longer compulsory in schools , no thanks to Nicky Morgan. This is an absolute disgrace.

Porn is a negative influence and should not be left for young people to be educated by, they should be taught correctly in an educational environment issues that surround it. It is incredibly shocking that sex education is not already in the 21st Century.

Children need to be taught that what they can see on the internet isn't necessarily how things work in real life. They need to know there is no pressure on them to behave in the same way, too much of the way kids behave today is due to how the precive they should behave with the access they have to information on the net and to other people so readily.

Teaching teens about relationship, and how to deal with pornification of culture, especially theirs is vital.
Is this petition still happening? I would love to gather signatures for this at our 1BR community gathering on Feb. 14th, as part of a global rising to end violence towards women and children.

The Internet is a great place to get this sort of information from, but it's just not enough. Young people need to be guided when they are at such a turbulent, emotional stage of their lives.
It also frustrates me that sex is still seen (especially by girls, but also boys too) as a taboo subject and find it difficult to talk about. I feel that LGBT young people are often left clueless as to how they are supposed to go about having sex and relationships as it just isn't talked about enough. Many feel ashamed or worried about how their family and friends will react. Why is this? We're in the 21st centurary, I would have thought sex education would be better and more open minded by now

Young people today are in a nightmare situation, they're not getting the practical information they need about sex and relationships. without it they're lives will get really messed up!

because it is rediculous that even in sex education, the act of sex its self is still seen as a taboo! Nothing is actually taught about sex for hetro or homosexuals. Time for change

i hear of so many teenagers who believe myths about birth control, sex and consent in relationships. by providing a friendly team in every single school, it could address these issues. i know i would have appreciated someone close to my age being frank about porn and sex so i could actually learn something rather than a stuffy embarrassed professor trying to shy away from questions and curiosity

Sex education is shocking in this country. It can't just be the scientific facts. Self esteem, relationships and homosexual relationships should all be taught from primary age as relevant for the age group.
