Art Revolt started this petition to Dato' Seri Saifuddin Abdullah and

In today's pandemic situation in Malaysia, We, player in the Malaysian creative and film industry, feels the need to postpone the 31st Malaysian Film Festival and the agency needs to review the festival structure and make changes to the film festival.

At this time, the Chairman and CEO of Finas should be thinking of ways to help industry players affected by this pandemic by thinking of such assistance for the survival of the industry players severely affected by this pandemic.

We feel even more distressed when the Chief and CEO of FINAS make a statement that shows the shallow thinking of those who are completely unconcerned about the current situation of industry players who have lost their jobs.

We hereby petition that we, the Malaysian creative and film industry players, unite to urge the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia to postpone the 31st Malaysian Film Festival and ask the Ministry to see the need to help industry players and not prioritize the Festival.

From today, we, the players in the creative and film industries, will continue to rise up against the injustice of our work until the formation of the Union in defending and building the ecosystem of the future that will be the catalyst for Malaysia's creative and film industries.

With this, we pledge, as a player in the Malaysian creative and film industry, to ensure that the mission and vision of enhancing the ecosystem in the creative and film industry is maintained.
