The Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH) is a 20.1km, 6 lane (3 lane dual lane) elevated highway estimated to cost RM4.18billion awarded to concessionaire Prolintas. The objections to this highway is specifically to the alignment through the Damansara Segment and not the entirety of the the proposed highway project, as its current proposed form will run through densely populated neighbourhoods like Damansara Perdana, Desa Temuan, Kota Damansara and a part of Mutiara Damansara at very close proximity to homes, condos, low-rise shops and places of worship, that would be hazardous to safety, health and environment. SNTD is seeking to stop the alignment from running through densely populated and matured townships that do not benefit from DASH.
SNTD is not against beneficial development, but we are against bad planning in development projects that lead to hazards and safety compromise to homes, lives, socio-economic risks and the environment.
