I am a parent with a child studying in Xin Min primary school, I noticed that the zebra crossing towards Blk 644 and 678 was removed recently and till today there is no zebra crossing.

I noticed that there are many very young children who are barely 1m tall trying to cross that crossing, these children just depend on the awareness of the on-coming drivers to let them cross the road. Many times, the drivers do not stop to let them cross (either they did not see the children or they might be in a hurry to move forward to not block the oncoming traffic)

These young children might be in a rush to go home or go to school and will just dash across the road thereby getting into a road accident. The drivers also might not be able to see them as they are too short, especially those who drive SUVs, vans, buses and lorries. 

Till today, we are very blessed that no accident has occurred at the said locations. Our young are very vulnerable hence they depend on us to install safety features like zebra crossings to keep them safe.
