Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases within the Wachusett Regional School District, many students have felt unsafe in an in-person learning environment.  Students who are or have high-risk family members may feel safer having a remote option to help limit their exposure. Many students, high-risk or not, experience anxiety over contracting the virus. Stress and other issues related to the possibility of becoming infected can hinder academic prosperity and progress. Whilst the remote option is not practical for every student and educator, a large portion of the district would benefit from this alternative opportunity.
