This should be a given, but UMD has a bad track record of communication with students and inter-departmentally, even before the pandemic. As an alumna, I want UMD to do better by their students (and their frontline staff).

It is unconscionable for UMD to withhold pertinent information regarding the availability of continued online classes. All other colleges and universities are making this option available, but UMD is boxing students in, so they can make money with no regard for their students’ lives. Unacceptable! Student should have the right to chose their health and safety first. Plain and simple!

Unethical! Universities received taxpayer Covid-19 relief and still want their own students to take on all of the financial burden WHEN the campus shuts down.

I want to be able to have a safe, low-stress, enjoyable semester instead of worrying when I will get kicked off campus— and with no refunds! Please consider the students and those who cannot afford to lose this money at the expense of their experience, happiness, and education.

I live on Campus and I don't want to risk my health just so they can get money off of me.
