Fiorentina represents the city of Florence in a way that few other teams do for their cities. For the team to remain competitive, though, it needs to have the ability to compete financially with other clubs in Italy. The easiest way to ensure that is a team-owned stadium that will guarantee a revenue stream. Viola owner Rocco Commisso has made several attempts to update or replace the venerable Stadio Artemio Franchi, but has been frustrated at every turn by the slow-moving bureaucracy of the local and national governments.

We understand that this is a complex issue and have no interest in criticizing individuals, but the government machinery needs to turn to the will of the people, not against it. As fans of Fiorentina and lovers of Florence, we've made our opinions clear time and again. There are many potential solutions to this problem and they've been discussed in depth, so we won't go into them here; what they have in common, though, is municipal leadership partnering with Commisso and his representatives to ensure the creation of a new stadium in a manner that doesn't cost the city money and assures a positive future for the team.

The united Fiorentina fan groups ACCVC and ATF have joined forces to demand an end to the inaction, and Viola Nation joins them. Add your voice to ours to help Fiorentina secure a promising future with a stadium that represents the fans, the city, and the club in a way that ensures they can all thrive together as they have in the past.
