Petitioning Danville Town Council

Withdraw from ABAG and reject the One Bay Area Plan

“High density”, “Priority Development Area” and “Mixed Commerical/Residential Units” have never described Danville, nor has it been a goal by its residents.

Residents of all political viewpoints, (including Independents, Republicans and Democrats) have come together in agreement that the current draft plan needs to be drastically changed. There is increasing consensus that the current plan will hurt the town and its residents. The planning commission meetings have been overwhelmingly packed with hundreds of local voters who are demanding that the current plan be rewritten and concise. The people understand what is at stake. Generations of families have grown up here and it’s clear to all who live here why Danville is special. There is a desire to pass on this special place for future generations.

Previous generations that have shaped Danville and guided its future were purposeful in calling Danville a town and not a city. Friends of Danville wants all those that call this place home to get involved, read the plan and share your ideas. The Danville plan should represent the vision of its people and not that of agenda driven groups and high paid consultants.
