On Thursday May 2,2019 the school committee of Lowell public schools voted to cut the band programs for some of the middle schools and the high school band program depends on middle school students to come and play in the high school band when they come to high school and as the middle school bands decrease the high school's band will dramatically decrease and disappear and these band programs help students build and work on their own talents and music can end up getting you into a career when older or either can help get scholarship in college for you
