Opposition to proposed high-rise at 8535 W. Higgins

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

To my Northwest side neighbors and friends, especially those of the 41st Ward! As you may or may not know, Alderman Napolitano previously voiced his opposition on behalf of his constituents to a proposed high-density residential development of 299 units at 8535 W. Higgins, which is just west of Cumberland Avenue.

Are you concerned that our police district is understaffed and crime is up? Are you concerned that our schools, Dirksen is 119% overcrowded, Taft is 141% overcrowded? Do you think traffic is congested on 90 at Cumberland? Adding 299 units of dense high-rises will only compound these issues. Please tell city council to listen to Alderman Anthony Napolitano and VOTE NO to this high-rise project.

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! Next Tuesday, June 26, 2018, there will be a zoning meeting at 11am at City Hall in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor. Attend if you can and fill out a form noting your stance on letting this development proceed. If you cannot attend, please visit the following link and email members of the committee to let them know.
