A bill proposed by New York State assembly member Daniel O'Donnell is trying to rename Robert Moses State Park to a “name that clearly reflects the history of Long Island.” Assuming the bill passes, there's a clear choice for what the new name should be. Let's rename it Billy Joel's Pool.

We the people of Long Island have spoken. There's no name that says Long Island more than local legend Billy Joel. He can sing, play the piano, and he travels back and forth from the Hamptons to Madison Square Garden to play concerts more than 10 times a month! Have you ever heard the song "The Stranger"? It's a certified banger.

Let's properly honor a real Long Islander and rename Robert Moses State Park after someone who really deserves it, Billy Joel.
