It's all well and good for parents to chose which toys and books their kids get to play with, but when the councils/government begins to make those decisions for parents. its time to stop and have a think about the extent of their authority, as well as what we're going to do about it.
Victorian Councils are reportedly considering a ban on selected children's toys and books because of their use of the words 'boy' and 'girl'. They claim that research shows that some children show the use of 'gender stereotypes' as young as 3 years old.
As far as I'm concerned, this is a step towards a totalitarian state just like 'Nineteen eighty-four by George Orwell
A quote from my own Mother:
"As a parent and an avid reader, I am horrified by the prospect that classic literature can be censored. Is this just the beginning?"
