No Apple Store store at Federation Square!

Federation Square was built as a cultural hub for Melbourne residents and visitors, not as a corporate shopping town. The proposal of an Apple Store within it (that was announced today -20/12/2017) is entirely unacceptable. Yes, there are existing businesses in Federation Square, yet none of them have required demolition of award winning buildings, and there was little to no public consultation about this. There is no reason why Federation Square has to be the site for an Apple Store, and it in no way keeps with Melbourne's cultural identity, nor the arts and public precinct that currently exists there.
