I'm signing because I listen to the stories of women and children every day who cannot afford or sustain their rental due to the impacts of family violence. Without access to secure and affordable housing no other life goals can be met. The ricocheting effect of our current housing crisis is a burden not just to the individuals but to the wider community. If government would invest in housing, psychological stress would be reduced and the burden placed on services like child protection, family violence and mental health services might then be able to action required strategies that promote good outcomes.

Every person has a right to have a home and not be on the streets, and have to suffer.
