I’m a photographer ... and if people can take their masks off to eat and smoke, surely in an outdoor shoot, with plenty of open space, masks can be taken off for photos!!

Let professionals act and conduct business like responsible professionals. Any irresponsible actions would/should be reported by their clients.
Common sense please.

I am a model/performer who works with some incredibly professional photographers, and they ALWAYS put the safety of their team first. Having the extra precaution of having to wear a mask while shooting is a bit outrageous when they are already following strict health guidelines even before Covid. This is overkill and is not necessary, plus it puts their work and employment at risk!

Conditions could be created to make this a safe practice during Covid.

Photographers shouldn't be pushed out of business, when it is quite possible to organise Covid-safe shoots without subjects being asked. Industries where it is not feasible for everyone to be masked should have more sensible regulations that enable them to return to work.

Masks should not be mandatory.
