Why this petition matters

Started by Jade Kerr

I, Jade Kerr, believe that we should change the Coronavirus rules from postcode to postcode. Where I live in Lang Lang were are considered Metro Melbourne but just out of our town is a checkpoint to Phillip Island where they are concidered regional. Also 10 minutes down the road in Nyora, they are considered regional as well so why aren't we. we have had 2 confirmed cases in our postcode of 3984 that aren't active anymore. we are suffering because of everyone else and its not fair, we have been doing all the right things and we are still in the toughest of the lockdown rules. We are considered regional for postage. We also used to be regional so we could get doctors down here but now we have been changed to Metro and it is now harder to get doctors down here.

Dan stated that Geelong might have different restrictions if they don't start following the rules, but we are doing the right thing, why should be have to be punished? We shouldn't all suffer because of someone else's actions.

I feel as though may people will be by my side when I say this. I feel as though we shouldn't be grouped together if we are doing the right thing. We want to be rewarded for our good behaviour.

I have gotten to see my grandparents once in between the two lockdowns. The only reasons I get to leave the house is to work at our local supermarket and to see my horses.

I feel as though people who are following the rules and doing the right things should have the right to have some freedom. This is why I feel as though Daniel Andrews should make the restritions based on postcodes and not regions.

We all want a covid normal and this is the way I feel as though we can have it and I hope you do to.

Please sign this petition and try and get Daniel Andrews to see it.
