They usually leave dance in the background. I know many students at the school that would love to have a dance program, whether it's through the dance class.It is sad because many students that pursued dance in high school cannot continue to pursue dance in college. Many of us want to go to the school because it's local, and it's close to home, yet we don't continue dance because of this issue. For many of us, our career ends when we go off to higher education beyond high school. Having a dance program at FGCU would enhance the art program that they're already, allow for more students to follow the path that they want to and give more creative freedom.
