Prevent Teen Addiction and Overdose

The goal of this petition is to show support to legislators for a law to make it illegal to offer deadly drugs to kids.

1000 people die each week from an overdose which is now a national public health emergency.

According to SAMHSA, people who begin using before age 18 have a higher risk of addiction, and nearly all people with serious drug and alcohol problems start to use in their teens or early twenties. 5% of adolescents and 16% of young adults have a substance abuse disorder.

Stop this public health emergency where it starts.

Show your support for Katie's law.  Katie died at age 17 on April 18, 2017 due to an accidental overdose.
