Hello fellow second year Interior Decorating students at Fanshawe College. First, I want to thank all of you for taking time and showing your support for our program. As you may already know, Julie McIntyre, our Studio professor will no longer be able to teach us as of November 5th, 2021. Julie's health condition does not allow her to take the current Covid vaccine as it may affect her health critically. Although we understand that she will no longer be able to teach us face to face, there are still other means for her to teach us. 

From what we can tell, Fanshawe did not come up with an alternative before deciding on removing Julie from teaching Studio for this semester. So, for all we know, our 5 credit - most important course in our program is being taught by someone not as competent and experienced as Julie. We are already half way into our semester, and this is clearly not the time for our minds to be confused by any anomalies. Having a different professor in the middle of the semester is probably the best way to force that unwanted situation on all of us. 

If Fanshawe cares about their students, the least they can do is to listen to their students. Covid has already taken away so much from our school experience. It's time we speak up.
