Lutheran High North is a small community of people with a big impact on many people's lives, whether they are alumni or are incoming students. In the Lutheran community in Houston, everyone knows the name Lutheran High North. One of the main reasons why many of the students love going to Lutheran High North is because of the community and the connections the students make with their peers but also with the faculty and staff. Taking away the final opportunity to say goodbye to their friends and the people they have called family is heartbreaking. It is heart breaking to these students who have worked hard and faced the struggles of high school but also to the parents who have looked forward to seeing their students walk across the stage among a community of people they have also watched mature of these past four years or even longer. At Lutheran High North, many students have watched their role models walk across the stage and have envisioned themselves doing the same thing. Graduation Ceremonies are a motivating factor for many students whether they are incoming or already attend LHN. Because so many people know about Lutheran High North, graduations are filled with many people who are not related to the graduated but still want to show their love and support. Church bodies who have seen these young adults grow from little babies to successful young men and women will not get to participate in a meaningful send off because of the digital setting that is now in place. The Class of 2020 and their parents ask you to please sign this petition in hopes of getting graduation postponed until we can all convene and celebrate the past four years of hard work these students have put in and a time to remember all the memories they have made along the way. These students have already missed out on so much, don't let them miss out of graduation also.
