Stop Poisoning Students in Texas’s response

Stop Poisoning Students in Texas
Stop Poisoning Students in Texas (SPSTX)

Apr 1, 2019 — Thank you for supporting taking pesticides out of school foods. Many people are unaware that multiple, highly toxic pesticides are in most foods being served daily to students in public schools. School districts trust the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to regulate foods approved for students based on safety and nutrition. Most school district personnel are unaware that there are toxic pesticides in foods approved by TDA. However, Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick are aware that there are multiple, highly toxic pesticides in school foods; they are not protecting children in the Texas Public School System from oral exposure to harmful pesticides. By signing this petition, you are sending a message that it is wrong to use tax dollars to feed children in public schools foods laced with pesticides. There is no safe amount of pesticides children should be eating. Pesticides are poisons. Thank you for your support! Please keep sharing this effort with others. ♥️ Donna Rogers
