I am in support of working class people having their rights to earn a living protected from greedy property developers and dishonest council officials ,who are not serving the people they were elected to serve. These trader communities provide vital social and economic value in the local community , providing affordable food and produce for low income families and individuals. Providing human interaction for elderly or otherwise socially isolated individuals, as well as an encouraging support network for emerging self employed traders and other small businesses in the market.

Ridley Road Market is a treasure to have in Hackney! We don't need to see it moving anywhere! Keep it alive, keep it here!

I shop at Ridley Road at least 4 times per week. It means a great deal to me and is my main cultural connection to Dalston. Do not destroy it.

Street markets are an asset to any community. Here you can buy fresh foods: largely unwrapped, and some of it locally sourced. But it
is not just about shopping for our groceries. It is also a place to meet and chat with stall holders and neighbours.

Are we not being told to shop locally. Our street markets are fast disappearing. It is an amenity we should fight to keep.

There is more to life than greedy bastards making yet more money for themselves and leaving everyone else high and dry.
