On July 4th, a video showing a Black woman being chased and shot, multiple times, with a roman candle firecracker by a Black man surfaced on various social media platforms. It was later revealed that - the Black woman in the video was Casey Nichole and the Black man shooting her was her ex-boyfriend/child's father, Vontee Williams. As Mr. Williams shoots Ms. Nicholes, short-bursts of explosions/fire is seen hitting Casey as she is running away. In the video, Mr. Williams can be seen aiming and shooting Casey in the head, which resulted in her hair on fire.

While this video is disturbing and traumatizing to watch, it highlights the hypocrisy, double-standard, and misogyny in the Black community, particularly, how Black women are physically abused by Black men with little to no repercussions. Instead of intervening, multiple Black men are seen rejoicing and recording this horrible attack. Children can also be seen in the video screaming and crying while Mr. Williams shoots Ms. Nichole. 

Ms. Nichole recently did an interview explaining what happened and how she has been impacted by this cowardly-attack. Ms. Nichole stated, "I filed a report but nothing has happened." Vontee Williams needs to be arrested and charged for attacking Casey Nichole. HE COULD HAVE KILLED HER. 

Vontee Williams is a threat to society, the Black community and Casey Nicholes. He must be held accountable.
