I have filed a formal complaint against Risk Management Officer Yovani Rodriguez. I believe he can not perform his duties with an open mind and conduct an investigation by letting the evidence prove what actually occurred. For instance, with my incident he wrote inaccurate, misleading, and unrelated information in the official report. During the investigation, which was clearly discussed at the scene, he wrote statements that are not true and misleading stating that avoiding a head on collision with a vehicle driving the wrong way on a one way road by driving off of the road was “faulty driving”.

I know many co-workers, who have had negative encounters with Mr Rodriguez. Largely it is from him reporting inaccurate and misleading information, but also the way he interacts with City of Dallas employees. It almost seems as if he’s got an agenda to target first responders (police and fire). He comes off as disrespectful, cocky and arrogant.

It is my understanding that his job is to investigate the incident/accident and to report the facts according; something he has proven he cannot do in a fair and accurate manner. 

I have serious concerns, regarding Yovani Rodriguez conduct while performing his job duties and I would like an investigation to be conducted by his supervisor. I believe, the employees of the City of Dallas deserve better.

You are supporting a full investigation into Mr. Rodriguez, and support that he can not in a fair and accurate manner report accidents/incidents involving the Dallas police and fire personnel.
