I live in the neighborhood and drive down Abrams/Columbia/Main to work every day. I never see enough traffic to justify 3 lanes each side of the road. I would love to see a change.

I'm signing because (1) I'd use it, (2) I live in the area, and (3) most importantly, this is a great project for Dallas to return some of the city to pedestrians, mass-transit users, and bicyclists, who have been run over (literally) by an automobile-centric city culture for almost half a century.

This road is bad for the neighborhood and the economy of the city

This would be a major boon for East Dallas neighborhoods and create more property value to support the city.

I have seen how dangerous it can be for pedestrians to cross the road.

I live a block off Columbia and it's a vast ocean of wasteful concrete. Plus a bike, and a dedicated bike sounds awesome. The sharrows currently fading into oblivion are a joke.

A more holistic approach to traffic is necessary in Dallas. It won't get better unless we take action and move beyond the underdeveloped transportation designs currently in place. This is an example of actionable good design thinking.
