Suppress Homeroom For Another Elective

Homeroom is not useful to a student's education in the ISD School District, hence why my fellow students and I believe a second elective for students who did not or could not take summer P.E. is in order. For example, if a student were in band, that would be their only elective, and adding another would extend their views and options as a student to potentially give them an idea of their career pathway. Not only would it benefit students in this way, it is taking up teacher's mornings where they do not teach and could be working on grading students to give them a grade faster. There are not only Electives for "fun", but there are also beneficial classes (such as Spanish) that could help students build a foundation if they took a career path in communications, medial service, travel, or law. For students who took summer P.E., they could also not take a course in Strength and Conditioning, which would support students in High School athletics. This is due to the fact because they are only allowed one Elective, and may have wanted to broaden their views. Lastly, Homeroom is a time spent where students are not checking their grades, emailing their parents or learning anything remotely useful, when they could be using this time for education.
