Thuanchay, Justice and fairness campaigner started this petition to Daily Mail

On Thursday April 2nd, the online Daily Mail newspaper carried a headline about the four doctors who had died while helping to treat U.K. patients suffering from the coronavirus.

All four of these doctors were non-white and Muslim, and what is more, a lot of the staff in the NHS, and in the wider care profession, now at the front line of the coronavirus crisis, are either non-white minority or originally from parts of the E.U.

In view of this, the Daily Mail should be made to print an historic front page apology for its many past headlines that demonised refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and E.U. workers, and helped to increase antagonism towards them.

For years, the Daily Mail has helped to foster division, now it needs to be made to acknowledge that and begin to take a new direction that will bring people together, especially at this crucial time.
