I am signing this petition on behalf of my late husband, John Phillips, who was Chairman of Berkhamsted Football Club in the 1980's and was really committed to the club during his time as Chairman.

We must keep green spaces in towns for people to enjoy-not housing developments

Not everybody has a car. Would there be a new bus service to reach the new ground - probably not. Clubs need to be part of the community and accessable by foot. With the cost of living rising it makes sense to keep the Football Club where it is, so that the users to not have to incur any extra cost of being a supporter.

Please sign and share the above petition to help put a stop to these people who ruin lives. Currently these scammers are targeting people in the USA, and Europe. Together we are stronger and I believe that this petition can help put pressure on Governments around the world to take action.

Berkhamstead Football Club: I support you.
Local councils and central Government are failing all of us.
Boris Johnson was voted back in because he delivered on the vaccine promise. What I realised is that he actually did nothing spectacular. Let’s remember he was not an EU leaver until he saw that it might help him to become Prime Minister. He publicly dismissed the seriousness of Covid19 until he caught it himself. He dismissed us when we demanded Cummings and Matt Hancock be sacked for breaking lockdown LAW. Boris Johnson was elected to serve and carry out the wishes of the people. Finally, Boris Johnson did nothing miraculous when it comes to the roll out speed of the vaccine. That was down to the people who voted to leave the EU and the red tape bureaucracy. Boris needs to pack his bags and leave with Hancock.

It's all about greed. Historic Berkhamsted town centre does not need more flats and traffic.

As an ordinary resident of Berkhamsted I feel that it is totally wrong to relocate an important local facility out of the town. The present location is ideal as there is access by train, by bus and by car. If the ground is sited in Bourne End, the only access will be by car. This flies in the face of efforts to reduce pollution by cutting car journeys. The loss of facilities for other users will also impact on the local community. More houses in the town centre will only cause even more traffic congestion. I can only hope that common sense will prevail and that the football ground will be saved for future generations to enjoy.

I was born in Berko, my Dad Peter Chapman was a life member of Berko FC. I spent many happy years watching games, helping dad and the committee on maintenance work and having fun socialising in the clubhouse. Berko residents will know how many events happen at the club because of its town centre location, history and friendliness. The club and ground are an irreplaceable and well loved asset for the town. The club continues to flourish in its rightful setting where it can meet its objectives of providing good class, accessible football as well as being a key public amenity. Please leave it where it is
