Duff-Allen Central Elementary school has decided amongst its staff that the 8th grade class will not wear a cap and gown for their graduation. This shouldn’t be a decision the school is allowed to make since they don’t purchase cap and gowns, parents do. Other schools in the same county plan to have a graduation with cap and gowns, so why can’t DACE. A child only gets one 8th grade graduation in their lifetime, so why should the school be able to make this important decision on their own? Please sign this petition so that it can be presented to the board of education  so that DACE 8th grade students can wear a cap and gown as they walk across the stage to graduate.
