14 year old Valentina Orellana-Peralta was killed by a Los Angeles police officer. The day before Christmas Eve, Valentina and her mother Soledad were at the Burlington Coat Factory shopping. They heard commotion in the store while Valentina was trying on clothes in the dressing room. Valentina locked the dressing room door and they both hugged one another, closed their eyes and began praying for peace.

Shortly after, Soledad felt an explosion which ended up being a bullet from an AR-15 that killed her daughter Valentina . Soledad was required to leave her baby girl, Valentina in the store as part of the investigation. Soledad was not given medical attention of any kind, obviously hurt and had a mark on her face.

We are trying to reach the attention of DA George Gascón to beg to have the officer involved in this egregious shooting fired and for charges to be filed immediately.
