Due to the circumstances of this year and all everyone especially the seniors of high schools myself and other students of D211 think it would be a better experience for the end of the year of a graduation that would be outside but socially distanced, all masks, and only a certain amount of people such as one group as last names of A-J and the other K-Z. Possibly, family members if with masks on and socially distanced would be able to take pictures of their own children walking across the stage instead of them sitting in there car only getting a glimpse of the whole experience. I realize that it might not be enough room but perhaps we would go to the boomers stadium or even Harper college? As for prom, myself and others feel it would be appropriate to dance a little. Yes, I understand the COVID-19 guidelines in Illinois but if we all wear masks and perhaps go to a bigger gym or arena we would be able to dance with the partner we go with because they would either be family, close friends, or a significant other. I feel all of this and others would be appropriate because of the certain rules and guidelines we must follow. We all understand you’re trying to keep everyone safe but please take this into consideration for all of the seniors and even juniors because for years we’ve all been looking forward to this and because of this crazy year could be end it off on a good note? In a safe and reasonable way? Thank you for you’re time.

Also some more issues or points‼️

0- The point of this petition is to get together some student feedback just to give the school an opportunity to hear our concerns respectfully!

1- Unfortunately we feel the schools have had poor communication with its seniors who’ve been through so much already.

2a- They decided on the dinner so our masks are off while we’re eating but we can’t dance with even just the people we came with or at least socially distanced?

2b- They could’ve just said no mosh pits or dance a little more spread out because we can’t stop people from being somewhat close together anyway since people are coming in groups.

3a- Now the after parties are going to go even harder (and without supervision) if they decide we can’t dance at all.

3b- Students are concerned about ticket prices, I know many students who won’t pay the same price as a normal prom. Also many of the girls feel disheartened about buying a dress only to be sitting the whole night.

Thank you all again for taking the time to listen to us.
