A live adaptation for the manhwa "Solo Leveling" should NOT be made as it carries a high risk of damaging the hard-earned reputation and will turn away many fans of the series. History shows us that live adaptations of mangas/animes (Especially American ones) have yielded rather poor results. If the live adaptation fails to be exemplary, it will fail to attract new fans and cause existing fans of the manhwa to turn to other series. Even if a live adaptation were to yield positive responses, it could still make a potential animated version harder to stand out due to the lack of originality. It is essentially a lose-lose situation.

It must also be mentioned that dozens of live adaptations of other webtoons/manhwas already exist or are being created at this very moment so there is really no reason as to why "Solo Leveling" should be among them, given the circumstances. Fans have already expressed the consistent view that an animated adaptation of "Solo Leveling" would be one of the best animes and their responses to the alleged reports of making it into a live-action series are that of great sadness and worry.

We call upon D&C Media and Kakao Entertainment to reconsider their decision in creating a live-action adaptation for the manhwa "Solo Leveling".
