Seventh-Day Adventists started this petition to cyril Ramaphosa and

The cure for COVID-19 has been found in Madagascar, why is it that people are still under L4 Lockdown? Anyway...

The aim of this petition is to address that fact that we as the people feel that the constitution was suspended when the Lockdown was implemented hence infringing on the rights of the very people our government is supposed to protect.

Some of the important key points  especially controverted are these:
--- Freedom of religion, belief and opinion.
--- Freedom of  movement (we are not to be restrained movement arbitrarily)
--- Freedom of Peaceful assembly

All of these liberties are the most basic and fundamental liberties in any republic or democratic state, hence to suspend these without reference to the constitution is not only malpractice on the president's part, but it leads to the greater abuses of power.

The constitution states that in no way is the President to pass a law that infringes on these inalienable rights.

And if this is left unchecked and greater liberties are taken from our people, we will find ourselves living in an all-powerful state, in which religion itself will become outlawed, the Government therefore cannot in any way interfere in matters of religion, since its duty is to protect the freedom thereof, nothing more & nothing less.

However, banning religious assembly is not only overstepping these boundaries, but it is also deciding for an individual what is good for them, this not only violates the right to "freedom of opinion", but it makes us subject to an all-powerful state...

Meaning we become properties of the state and not the Citizens thereof, which is not only despotic, but dangerous - hence I implore our Government to reconsider and "let God's people go that they may worship HIM."

"...Come to the help of the LORD, the help of the LORD against the mighty"
