The latest lobby from the cycling fraternity has resulted in changing the highway code rules for cyclists to be what seems more in line with cars (riding in the middle of the road etc.) It has long been known that some cyclists commit road traffic offences and damage to cars with no consequences because it was impossible to identify the cyclist. Registration plate would solve this. Now is the time for identification of cyclists, insurance and road riding capability and safety test.
