Say NO to an Air BnB Hotel which is planning to open in Salem Road, Cwmafan, Port Talbot - right next door to a chapel. Salem Road is a quiet, residential area where lots of elderly people live - as well as single parents, young families and individual home owners. This hotel will de-value homes in the area, cause problems with parking, and could possibly attract noisy guests which can unsettle elderly residents nearby. The owner will NOT be staying at the property whilst guests are there. He will simply hand over the keys and leave them to it. Who knows what this will cause!? The owner has also made aggressive, abusive threats towards several neighbours, and has already had warnings from the police and authorities. The council are also involved. His “workers” have been seen trespassing on neighbours properties and he has not renovated this house legally. He has NOT been given permission to run a business from there. If this particular Air BnB was to bring some good into the neighbourhood I’m sure we would all support it. But due to the lack of respect for nearby neighbours caused by the owner, Please sign this petition to say NO to an Air BnB Hotel in Cwmafan. Thank you.
