We are a small family run restaurant/takeaway. During lockdown we were applauded and told that we were key worker and businesses. Now as soon it’s back to normal, we are no more key business. We are suffering price hike from suppliers, paying 14%+ vat commission to multimillion companies such as justeat, ubereats and other platforms, increased staff wages, utilities, rental payments, fuel, hmrc and then our vat on top. We are struggling to survive, we do not claim any benefits and working 60-70 hour per week just to keep business open. We request government to reduce our vat from 20% to 5% for all small, local and hospitality business. Please help us!!
