A long time ago owning a car was a luxury, think about when you were younger, there were not as many cars on the road. Owning a car today is a necessity, public transport is expensive and not regular enough to suit the needs of the country. Its not a luxury anymore and nor is the fuel needed to keep our vehicles on the road. The recent 5p reduction in fuel duty did not always get passed on to the drivers. with 17% of every litre we buy going to the VAT Man, surely the government can see that us vehicle owners are being doubly taxed when we fuel up. That cant be right. We need action now.
