Allowing Lincoln Middle School seventh graders out for lunch will help them for many reasons. One of these being, they would be able to have a wider variety of food instead of being held a couple choices. Also, them going out for lunch will give them the chance to not stay in the lunch room and be able to walk around. They are already in the school for a good amount of time and letting them out will give them some fresh air. Being with the same group of kids for long periods of time can sometimes get boring. Another reason is that the seventh graders will have the chance to meet some eighth graders that have the same lunch period. If this idea gets put into action, we would start by only allowing the eligible kids to go out for lunch. This would be to avoid trouble and other further problems. Since it is their first year in the middle school, we may start off by giving only two days a week, and gradually start going up. By what I have heard, their hasn’t been any problems with the eighth graders going out for lunch. But if we allow seventh grades to have this privilege and some problems start, we can simply take this privilege away. This idea has been brought up by many students and teachers in the school. Making this happen can be a great way to show how Lincoln Middle can band together get stuff done.
