DR Horton touts themself as “America’s Home Builder”. A warm and fuzzy name to make you feel safe and secure in your purchase. As an owner of a home built by this company I can attest to the fact that Americans deserve much better quality homes. 
This builder uses the cheapest labor and materials available on the market today to slap these homes together in 30-45 days. On the surface the homes look great. Large square footage at a good price. But “you get what you pay for” has never been more true than with this builder. The homes are mediocre at best. Our local mobile home builder uses higher quality materials than this company does. 
The abundance of issues that literally every homeowner experiences after closing is second to none. The way this company handles the issues is shameful. They send someone to evaluate and discuss issues with the homeowner. They make promises to fix everything only to subsequently Ignore any and all communications from the homeowner. This company makes the dream of homeownership nothing but a nightmare.
