The housing crisis has pushed people who owned houses to apartments from apartments owners being homeless. Los Angeles has a high percentage on people being homeless due to the fact that rent is going up and minimum wage job is not enough for even a single person to meet their needs and bills. Areas that are being highly affected in Los Angeles for example is Inglewood, South Central, and Boyle Heights. However it’s all over the place around these areas. This hard situation is making it extremely hard for low income people because prices like gas, food and taxes are now expensive then what it was already. However, what are we doing as a community to make a great cause or our voices to be heard? We always talking about change but never take our time at least like 30 mins to help out the community, protest or join organizations to change the laws. Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez is a great example for the African African and Latino community that it is important to use our voice, tell your story, protest and not fear rejection. For our community to be strong leaders and take our voices seriously.
