For over the years insecurity has been a major challenge in the country both in North and South. Currently, Nigeria has one active satellites which is set to expire by 2025. The two that  have already expired are still in use and this is not meant to be so. Of recent NASRDA made two new satellites, NigeriaSAR-1 and NigeriaSat-3 to replace the two old ones. But due to inadequate funding from the Federal Government this hasn't taken place and its been over two years. With satellites the hideouts and whereabouts of these terrorists can be known and this will help the military in eradicate these killers from the society 

With the satellites, the communications between the terrorists can be traced thereby helping to the true location. This was part of the means the USA used in apprehending  OSAMA BENLADEN.
