CUNY is “taking precautious” during the Coronavirus outbreak in NYC and is waiting for this virus to be a direct threat to the CUNY community. Instead of taking these precautions, CUNY schools should take action by suspending classes until the virus is no longer a threat to our community. Many schools in our community already have had exposure to the illness. Many students suffer from chronic illnesses that put them at a higher risk of being susceptible to the virus, such as those who are asthmatics. These students are at a great risk and need to take extreme precautions, especially since this is a new virus that we still have yet to know about in depth. Please sign the petition now if you agree!
