Stop the threat to Cumbrian School Funding
This petition had 1,321 supporters
There is an imminent threat to Cumbrian school funding of over £8,000,000 including over £880,000 for Kendal schools. This is due to financial management at local authority level leading to a deficit that individual schools are suddenly being asked to fill. This would inevitably negatively affect education in Cumbrian schools, and there are other options. We are setting up this petition as a collaborative group of schools committed to the best possible education for all young people in Kendal, with the aim of standing together to stop these unfair proposals. Please sign this petition to indicate your support for withdrawing these proposals and finding other means to address this deficit, that do not affect the education of our young people.
