Save Cumbria School Nurses

This petition had 338 supporters

Cumbria County Council has just announced that they are axing School Nurses in a drive to cut costs. I believe the school nurses play a vital role in protecting the health and well being of pupils. The loss of this service will mean that children can not see a school nurse and will have a detrimental effect on their health and well being. Families will not get the support that they need for thier children

The school nursing service is very important and something that genuinely has the power to change children's lives. It is a vital service. School budgets are already under huge constraint and without this service schools will have to be forced to make difficult decisions.

Please save the School Nurses and maintain a school nurse in every school and not the proposed changes that will effect our children's lives
