Remove all ticket machines from Windermere Ferry

Ticket machines were introduced at the piers for the Windermere Ferry in 2016, resulting in onboard payments being stopped. This generated lengthy queues at complicated machines making the whole experience of using the Ferry stressful and unpleasant.
In April 2017 Cumbria County Council introduced a machine onto the Ferry itself as an attempt to 'reverse the problem'. This by no means deals with any issues as car drivers now have to squeeze out of their cars and queue at a machine waiting to pay. This can be particularly difficult for less physically abled drivers or passengers.
The previous system of paying the 'ferryman' as he walked around the cars was much easier and pleasant and we call upon Cumbria County Council to remove these machines and reinstate the 'old' system for the ease of all those who enjoy the Ferry and either use it regularly or during high-demand tourist seasons.
