Bring the hit reality television show "Survivor" to Canada!

Canada is no stranger to their own version of reality competitions outside of The Amazing Race or Big Brother Canada. We have seen many different reality TV shows come and go and yet, we keep missing one.

Survivor (US) began on May 31, 2000, on CBS. It is hosted by television personality Jeff Probst, who is also an executive producer along with Mark Burnett and original creator, Charlie Parsons.

The television show places a group of strangers in an isolated location, where they must provide food, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants, until only one remains and is given the title of "Sole Survivor" and is awarded the grand prize of US$1,000,000. To this day, 36 seasons have been produced so far, and at least 4 more seasons are confirmed.

As a Survivor superfan, I constantly find myself asking "Where is Canadian Survivor?" with places like Australia and New Zealand now hitting it off with their editions, it's almost time for Canada to start thinking about catching up with the rest of the countries. Over 51 countries have had their own edition to date. I want to be able to see the day that a Canadian company can acquire the rights to the show because, well, there are so many Canadian fans that have always wanted to play, myself included. I want to do this for all the Canadian fans and dreamers of having their torch snuffed or wearing a buff out on a sunny island somewhere.

Support this petition and we may be able to see a day eventually where we can apply to be on Survivor. If not, we'll just have to keep waiting. Don't let us down. Let's make this happen, and hopefully make many dreams come true. :)
